PREFACE
The top industrialists of India forced Mr. A.B. Vajpayee, Prime Minister of India and leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), to abdicate power eight months before the general election. They persuaded some small political parties to dissociate from the NDA and later they were asked to associate with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
The industrialists directed Mr.P. Chithambaram to contact Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to form an alliance. They then ensured victory to the UPA. They wanted Mrs. Sonia Gandhi to function as the Chair-person of the UPA and installed Dr. Manmohan Singh as the Prime Minister of India . Mr. P. Chithambaram was made the Minister for Finance. They placed their trusted people in key positions.
They then asked Dr. Manmohan Singh to help transform public assets into private assets. He was not even allowed to transfer the officials.
There was no alternative before this writer other than sending letters to Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President of India . The letters restrained the Government from acting recklessly. Some decisions- consistent with the letters - were implemented.
However, the Prime Minister succeeded in transmitting some public assets like public money, public sector mills, natural resources. He gave Re.3 lakh crore rotting in the Provident Fund to the ICICI Bank and two or three other banks. It was an act of corruption. He gave the money secretly. The people came to know about it only in 2010. The money should have been used for large scale public investments. Therefore, he gave the money in very bad faith and ruled the nation in bad faith.
